The IELTS exam requires a minimum age of 16 years. The IELTS exam is applicable to anybody over the age of 16, regardless of nationality or background. If the school requires IELTS scores for admission, an exception can be granted.
Many people find this test section one of the hardest if they haven't prepared ahead of time using test prep tools, or by listening to English music or by watching English television shows.
There is no pass or fail in IELTS. You are graded on your performance in the test, using scores from 1–9 for each part of the test: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. Your results from the four parts then produce an overall score.
How long is an IELTS score valid? An IELTS Test Report Form (TRF) is valid for two (2) years. How soon can a candidate resit the test? A candidate may resit the IELTS test at any time.
